Lose Weight Instantly – Almost!

Here’s how to lose weight instantly… ALMOST. These few tricks are little understood and seldom used correctly. If the thought of dieting and doing hour long workouts for weight loss turns you off, then I urge you to read this now to “CHEAT” boring weight loss.
Lose Weight Instantly?
1. Make your hormones “FORCE” weight loss
Your hormones are huge when it comes to weight loss. Most people simply ignore their hormones or don’t know anything that can balance them out. Well, to balance your hormones you’ll want to target your Endocrine System because it controls the hormones. To do this, spinning in a circle works like a charm.
You’ve done it as a kid. Now it’s time to do it as an adult to help your health. It may be a surprise that spinning around like a child helps you to lose weight, but it does. No, it doesn’t burn much calories. The key is that they work their magic at the HORMONAL LEVEL.
This is much more powerful actually. Say you eat good and exercise a bunch, but you can’t lose weight. Well, eating even better and exercising more won’t help you. The problem is your hormones, not your diet or exercising.
So add 5-10 spins every once in awhile throughout the day. I recommend you do at least 8 sets of spins a day. It seems like a lot, but it only takes 10 seconds of your time each time you do them. Can’t you spare 80 seconds in an effort to balance your hormones and unlock weight loss?
2. Another thing you can do is target retained water
Whether you realize it or not, you’re probably carrying at least 5-8 extra pounds of water weight that is unnecessary. Your body is retaining this water because you’re simply not drinking enough water. This makes the body think water is scarce. AND… for survival reasons, it will retain extra water as a safety mechanism.
The simple thing to do is add at least another 50 ounces of water to whatever it is you’re drinking each day. The effect this will have on the body is that it will almost instantly FLUSH out the retained water since now it thinks water is readily available. So there’s no need to have a safe supply of retained water hoarded in your body.
Basically, that’s how you can lose weight instantly… or I should say, almost instantly.
Teens and Bed-Wetting – Dealing With Diapers and Plastic Pants

Being a teenager can be a stressful time in life. There’s the pressure of fitting in, preparing to get into college, going to prom, learning to drive. Now imagine if you also had to tell someone of the opposite sex that you have to wear diapers and plastic pants because you still wet the bed?
Teenagers can be very cruel when it comes to people being different. I think it’s important for teenagers to be able to talk to other people with similar problems. There are many online support groups for various health problems and teenagers suffering from bed-wetting should take advantage of the many online health resources.
You can also start an online support group if you want. Many older children, adolescents, teenagers, and adults deal with bed-wetting every night so there are a lot of people who would be interested if you do decide to start a bed-wetting support group. On a related note, if you don’t personally feel like starting an online support group for teenagers suffering from bed-wetting you can do a Google search for incontinence support groups and forums. Bed-wetting is a very common problem so it shouldn’t be difficult finding a person you can talk to about this issue. There are also organizations that specialize in disseminating information about incontinence. Two of the major organizations that deal with incontinence are the Simon Foundation for Continence and the National Association for Continence. These organizations should be able to provide you with information about support groups for incontinence.
I think it would help if teenage celebrities(as well as adult celebrities) started talking about subjects such as bed-wetting-it would make it less taboo.
Right now I’d like to talk about one teen’s experience with wearing cloth diapers and plastic pants. This person felt extremely self-conscious about wearing the garments. There are several aspects that made him feel babyish-the bulk of the diapers between the legs, the safety pins, and the crinkling sounds of the plastic pants. I thought I’d talk a little bit about because it’s possible that many teenagers have similar feelings regarding wearing diapers and plastic pants for bed-wetting. I believe in this particular case it’s possible to see the glass as half full. For example instead of viewing these attributes in a negative manner one can see them in a positive way. Instead of viewing the bulk of the diapers as a bad thing a person could see them in a positive way-thicker diapers are more absorbent and therefore they provide better protection.
This in turn will make the wearer feel more comfortable and secure. As far as the plastic pants are concerned it should be stressed to the teen that some plastic pants and disposable diapers make a rustling sound. Although many people are self conscious about this crackling sound the teenager should be reassured that since the product is only worn at night this shouldn’t be a concern. However if the child or teen is sharing a bedroom with another sibling they might have some misgivings about this. If they do share a room with another sibling the parents need to tell the sibling in no uncertain terms that if they make fun of the bed-wetting or diapers and plastic pants they’ll be punished. Finally, as far as the pins are concerned, these should be viewed no differently than other methods of fastening clothing such as buttons, zippers,or snaps. I hope this helps other teenagers who might be feeling embarrassed about wearing the diapers and plastic pants at night.
I also think it’s important to be able to confide in people about this problem-whether a family member or relative, a teacher, or friend. Sometimes talking to people helps a great deal. It’s important to be able to gauge the depth and quality of a person’s friendship. There are some people who are real compassionate and understanding. These people are very accepting of other people’s problems and they’re easy to confide in. If you feel you have friends of this nature and if you’re having difficulty coming to terms with wearing diapers to bed then you might want to consider discussing this with them. It’s important to remember one thing-there are plenty of people of all ages who wet the bed so the next time you’re getting ready for bed and putting on your diapers and plastic pants keep this in mind!
Pressure Washer Repair

Pressure washers, or power washers are used for cleaning dirt, stubborn stains, grime and dust from almost all kinds of surfaces including glass, wood, concrete, fiber and steel via high pressure water flow.
Pressure washers have a lot of parts for effective functioning. The main parts in a pressure washer are the electric or gasoline-powered engine attached to a pump. This pump compresses the water and builds up pressure. The hose has a trigger that has the option of spraying the water either in short bursts or as a continuous spray. The power of the washer depends on the strength of the pump. The nozzle or the tip is also a very important component. This tip can be adjusted at different angels for adjusting the pressure of the water. The smallest angle generates the highest pressure. Larger angles up to 40 degrees are for generating sprays covering larger surface area. Pressure washers also contain a detergent injector that helps to steadily mix the detergent with the water. Other main parts in a pressure washer are the hose, hose reels, valves, heating and cooling components and other plumbing and electrical fittings.
In order to function properly, it is important that all parts are in good working condition. Pressure washers have to be serviced regularly because of the accumulation of dust and grime where they are used. Maintenance involves cleaning the nozzle, which gets clogged with dirt, causing excessive pressure to develop, distorting the spray pattern. Other parts may also develop problems and may have to be replaced from time to time. It is better to consult a hardware technician about pressure washer repair. You can also do a few small repairs and replacements by getting parts from a hardware store. The Internet is a good source of information as well as for buying pressure washer parts. There are several sites that provide useful information about pressure washer repair.
How to Remove Whiteheads

Before you try to remove whiteheads on your own, it’s important for you to realize what they are. Many people think that since it looks like a pimple, they can just use normal acne medication and the problem will go away. This is simply not the case with whiteheads.
First lets look at what exactly is happening within the skin that causes a whitehead. Every pore on your body creates oil, called sebum. Sebum lubricates and moisturizes your skin to keep it healthy. Problems begin to present themselves whenever the pore that the sebum is released from becomes blocked. If the pore remains open then the sebum will oxidize and turn black. However, if the pore closes up, the bacteria will begin to grow and leave the remains white, which is where the term whitehead originates. While this may look like a normal pimple, it is definitely not the same.
To begin clearing up whiteheads it should be mentioned that you never squeeze or try to remove them by pressure without the proper tools. If you squeeze and pick you will only break the skin and leave it open for infection and potentially leave a scar. The best way to remove whiteheads from your face is with a comedone remover. Comedone is just another name for the blockage of pores.
This tool is made of stainless steel and has an interesting loop design which helps remove the whitehead without damaging the skin. Using this device couldn’t be simpler. You would use this tool immediately after steaming the face with a hot washcloth or after a hot bath. This is to insure that you can easily remove whitehead material. Once the whitehead breaks the top layer of the skin, press the loop end over the whitehead and the trapped material will be dislodged. Once this process is complete, be sure to clean your face again with warm water to ensure that everything has been removed from the pore.
If you find it difficult to remove whiteheads then you may consider using a cream or gel designed to treat blackheads. Many of the medications available for the treatment of blackheads will also be effective for clearing up whiteheads. Most of these medicines include retinoid, which will slow the growth of the white head before it becomes too big of a problem.
Depending on your face type, you may be given either a retinoid cream or lotion that will moisturize the skin and loosen the blockage. If you choose this route for clearing up whiteheads, it is important that you speak with a dermatologist to determine which type of treatment is best for you.
If home treatment isn’t the way you’d prefer to go, then please talk to your dermatologist. There are procedures to remove whiteheads that only a licensed dermatologist can do, and sometimes these methods are the best.
Science Lessons for Grade 1 on the Five Senses

Many teachers agonize about planning science lessons for Grade 1. They think that the students are too young to take part in science experiments. This is because they associate science experiments with using chemicals and Bunsen Burners. At this grade level, there are many experiments you can do in class with the students that are perfectly safe and do not put the students in any danger.
For example, it is easy to plan a lesson related to using the five senses. A taste test, or an experiment where the children are blindfolded and have to identify certain foods by the way they taste, smell and feel, is perfectly acceptable. The only precaution you would have to take in this type of lesson is to make sure that none of the children have any allergies to the foods you plan to bring into the classroom.
To teach the concept of using the sense of hearing, it is quite easy to make a tape recording of certain noises and see whether the students can identify them. In order to evaluate the lesson to see whether or not the students have achieved the objective, you can have them draw a picture to tell what they learned, retell it to you or have them write a sentences in their journal or learning log.
If you wish you can also have the students create noises of their own using materials that you bring in, such as scraping a comb over glass or the sound of chalk on the chalkboard. Many of the activities that you use with science lesson plans dealing with sound will also achieve the objectives for your music curriculum as well, so you might want to work with the music teacher on this section.
Some of the outcomes that you need to address in Science lessons for Grade 1 are:
1. Students will be able to identify the five senses
2. Students will be able to demonstrate ways that materials can be used to alter their smell and taste
3. Students will demonstrate ways we can use materials to make different sounds
4. Students will describe ways in which materials can be changed to alter their appearance and texture
5. Students will demonstrate how each of the senses helps us to recognize, describe and safely use a variety of materials.
You can teach all of these objectives using fun activities to keep the students interested. You have to think of the age of the students and realize that these activities are very simple, yet relevant to students in Grade 1.
What kind of activity could I use to teach Objective 3 – Students will describe ways in which materials can be changed to alter their appearance and texture? You have to keep in mind that you don’t have to get the students to do all the experiments. You can do some with them watching and then ask them questions about what happened. For this objective, you can take a piece of paper towel. Pass it around to all the students so that they know what it looks and feels like. Soak it in water and then show the result. Students can immediately see how the appearance and the texture of the material have changed.
When you are teaching Science lessons in Grade 1, you should always look for appropriate children’s literature so that you start the lesson off with a story to peak their interest.
“How Paper is Made” by Arthur Lockwood is a good book to use for this lesson because it describes the changes in the appearance of a tree from the time it is cut down until it is made into paper.
Why Double Glazing?

Why replace your single-glazed windows with double glazing ? For most, the precipitating factor for looking into double glazing is a need for new construction (or renovation) to conform to modern energy standards. Others decide to replace their windows as an energy saving measure. The main advantage that double glazing offers over traditional windows is insulation. Because nearly 25% of your heat is lost through your windows, well-made and well-fitted double glazing can reduce your heating costs by as much as half depending on the amount of glass in your home.
Some of the things to consider when shopping for double glazing for your home are safety, energy conservation, style, type of frame, type of glass, cost and installation. Each of these are important in your choice. Most will affect the price that you pay – and all will affect your pleasure and comfort in your home for years to come.
Safety
Single pane windows are most often made of a single sheet of regular glass which shatters into long, sharp shards when hit. When shopping for double glazing, you have a choice of several different kinds of glass, each of which are safer on breaking than traditional window panes. If nothing else, the double thickness reduces the chances that both panes will be broken. Whether you use security glass, toughened glass or shatterproof glass, double glazing offers some measure of safety over single glazing.
Security
There’s no doubt that double glazing makes it more difficult for a thief or intruder to break into your home by the simple expedient of breaking a window pane and reaching through the hole – but real security has more to do with the window frames and locking systems than with the glass itself. Be sure to choose windows with frames that can be securely locked from the inside.
Energy Conservation
Double glazing can reduce heat lost through windows by as much as 50%, thereby reducing your heating bills, keeping your house warmer and helping you do your bit in the conservation of natural resources. Especially in rooms with large windows, the difference in temperature in the room is easily noticeable. Sitting by a large, double-glazed picture window is far, far more comfortable on a chill winter night.
Style and Design
Double glazing is available in many different styles and types, and most people attempt to match the style of their old windows with the new if at all possible, especially when doing restoration work. A good, reputable contractor will work with you to find double glazing windows that suit your architecture and enhance your home’s beauty.
Frames
The three main frame types are PVCu, aluminum and wood, and each has its unique advantages and disadvantages. In a nutshell – PVCu frames are best at energy conservation, aluminum frames are the sturdiest, and wooden frames are the most attractive – at least in the view of some. For more detailed information about the advantages of each, see the related articles.
Type of Glass
Saf
ety glass, tempered glass, low-e glass, Pilkington K glass – there are many types of glass that are used in double glazing. Glass with energy coatings – the low-e and Pilkington K among them – add further insulating properties to your windows, and can certainly be worth that additional expense.Installation
Shop for a contractor and supplier as carefully as you do for glass. Shoddily done work can negate all the advantages gained in choosing to replace your current windows with double glazing. Look into the company’s history and check for any complaints against them, even ask for references from others for whom they have done work. Installing double glazing throughout your house is an expensive proposition – it only makes sense to know the people who will be doing the work.
Safety Techniques for X-Ray Technicians

Operating various machines that emit radiation is the most essential part of a technician’s job, and these professionals need to learn the exposure limits and the correct machine settings for the medical equipment they use every day. They should also know when the x-ray tube is functioning, so that they can wear a lead apron or stand behind a protective wall as a barrier to the radiation. In addition, safety devices that come with the equipment, such as shielding and warning lights, should be kept in proper working order to provide additional radiation protection.
Wearing Lead Aprons
Lead aprons are protective garments that shield both technicians and their patients from dangerous radiation. They have been customized to meet a variety of medical needs, but to be effective, they must be worn properly in an environment that is inspected for safety factors on a regular basis. Also, the issue of protection is so serious that untrained personnel are generally not allowed to enter the diagnostic areas of a medical facility where radioactive imaging procedures are used.
Other Dangerous Exposure to Avoid
An x-ray machine may be situated in an established radiology laboratory, and or it may be portable for use in various surgical and clinical venues. In both cases, the patient being x-rayed could be going through some surgical or medical treatment that would readily expose technicians to the patient’s blood or other bodily fluids. As a precaution, they should always wear rubber gloves, and add a gown, surgical mask, and goggles when the situation calls for it. Also, for the safety of everyone concerned, the equipment they work with should be washed and sterilized every time it is used.
Additional Safety Factors to Consider
To ensure their proper alignment, these professionals have to manipulate both the patient and their equipment simultaneously. When doing this, they should avoid static positions and over-extending their body or over-reaching when moving their equipment, have co-workers assist them when they are assisting or transporting a patient, and master the right lifting techniques as well.
An assortment of film-processing equipment and chemicals are used in developing the technicians’ films, and they should carefully study the related material safety data sheets (MSDS). Doing this will enable them to comprehend the fill levels and mix ratios for the chemicals they are using, and when technicians work with wet chemicals, splash goggles and chemical-resistant gloves are also recommended for their protection.
Safety Precautions You Have to Keep in Mind When Using Sodium Hydroxide

There are several things one has to remember when working with substances such as sodium hydroxide, a strong base whose chemical formula is written as NaOH. This alkaline is famous in industries due to its pH control purposes, being able to neutralize acids and acidic oxides with great efficiency. Lye or caustic soda, as it is commonly known, is used in manufacture of soaps and detergents, as well as many cleaning liquids. It is also found in processing of cotton, metals like aluminum, textile, paper, and pulp. This ionic compound dissociates completely into sodium ions and hydroxide ions in aqueous solutions.
This substance has never been found to be flammable, nor is it combustible. But since it forms extremely exothermic solutions with water, for instance, it is capable of releasing enough heat to burn combustible materials nearby when mixed with water. It also reacts with amphoteric transition metals like aluminum, tin and zinc. Typical reactions of sodium hydroxide with metals like the ones mentioned liberated hydrogen gas, which ignites in the presence of oxygen.
Storage of this compound may involve tight sealing of its containers as it reacts with acidic oxides present in the air. For instance, it strips away carbon dioxide in the air. Carbon dioxide is a natural acidic anhydride and reacts with the said alkaline to form salt called sodium carbonate.
Since this alkaline has a lower heat capacity than water, it easily transfers heat to the surroundings. For instance, mixing it with water causes dangerous heat buildup that can cause the mixture to splatter and send sprays of sodium hydroxide everywhere. Pouring water onto the solid form of this alkaline can cause a violent reaction that sends NaOH-containing aerosol into the air. Keeping in mind that the substance is a known eye, skin and respiratory irritant, such practices are extremely hazardous. In addition, the extreme heat liberated during the mixing can be enough to destroy the container and cause spillage. Thus, it is necessary to note the safe way of diluting the alkaline. The safer way is to slowly introduce the substance to water. This way, the release of tremendous heat is avoided. While pouring a concentrated NaOH into the water, gently stir the mixture to allow a quicker dissolution process and a quicker distribution of heat throughout the mixture. It is best to use cold water for this purpose. Remember this procedure is also done with concentrated acids. It is necessary to wear special clothing and protective gloves while doing this procedure. Never pour water into a concentrated solution of this alkaline. Remember also that even dilute solutions of NaOH may still cause irritation and corrosion.
The alkaline is odorless, even in aqueous solutions. This means that you may not immediately notice your exposure until after irritation occurs. Thus, you may already be dangerously in contact with the alkaline without ever noticing it. This should prompt for extra caution when working with the chemical.
The extreme corrosiveness and reactivity of this substance warrants workers with high chances of coming in contact with this compound as well as to check engineering controls in the area they are working in. Safety equipment and protective gears and clothing must be available at all times. It is a basic rule to follow hygiene guidelines. Workers who are constantly running the risk of exposure with this chemical must be educated and informed about its properties and its health hazards. Furthermore, they must be trained in handling the chemical carefully.
Proper ventilation must be present in working areas. Should leaks and spillage be seen in containments, immediately report this problem. Before carrying and transporting containers check for leaks and damage.
There are several materials that must be kept away from this substance. Never place strong acids with the base, let alone mix them together. NaOH should not come in contact with nitroaromatic, nitroparaffinic or organohalogen compounds. As mentioned earlier the alkaline reacts with metals like aluminum, tin and zinc. Thus, it must not be transported in aluminum containers, for instance, as this may result to liberation of combustible hydrogen gas and damage to the aluminum container. Furthermore, it also reacts with glass. Hence, glass containers are not suitable for prolonged storage of the compound.
Different Uses For Small Glass Bottles Around the Home

Different uses for small glass bottles
There are many different uses that you may find for small glass bottles. These can be great ideas for making different crafts to decorate your house with. They could also help you in making crafts to give as different gifts to your friends and family members.
One of the easiest and most personal crafts that you could make with small glass bottles is a message in a bottle for a loved one. These would be great for gifts like Valentine’s Day, Mothers Day, Christmas, or other personal holidays where you may need to give a gift.
First you would choose the small glass bottles that were the design you were looking for and the appropriate size. You would then find things that you would like to put into the bottles.
You could put things in it like glitter and sequins. The sequins that you use you need to be relevant to the holiday in which you were making the gift for. You could get little Christmas tree sequins for Christmas and get red and green glitter or even silver if you wished.
You would put these things into the bottle. Next you would pick out a nice paper that you liked. You would then write something personal on the paper. You could write a poem or just a note to the person. You could either hand write this note or you could print it off onto the paper using your printer. You could even cut the paper into a design or leave it full sized. Cutting it is going to be more feasible for the project though.
After you had finished this you would want to find a way to attach a string to the paper. You could either use a hole puncher or you could poke a hole in the paper using something like a safety pin. The size of the whole will vary on the tie material that you using. You then would want to put the letter into the bottle and have the sting to hang out of the bottle. You could either leave the sting just hanging or you could wrap it around the top or cork of the bottle and attach it. This way when the bottle was opened the string and the letter would come out for them to read your personal message to them.
This is just one of the many different things that you could make for a gift or decoration out of small glass bottles.
